On Tuesday 23rd January 2018 Jean and I travelled to
Gloucester, where I was booked to play for the Gloucestershire
Keyboard and Organ Club.
I had played there previously in 2016 and this was a return visit.
It was a very enjoyable occasion for us and hopefully the members
enjoyed the evening. They were very generous in their applause.
It was good to see everyone again. We hopefully look forward to
the next time. The above picture was taken on that evening.
The above picture was taken on the same evening.
It looks like at this point I'm playing from music !!!
On Saturday 17th March 2018, Jean and I spent the day
visiting The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam railway.
It was a bitterly cold day with occasional sun and some
snow flurries. We made the return trip to Cheltenham
Race Course, stopping off at Winchcombe.
In the above picture, taken at Toddington Station, Jean is
" Envloped in Steam " from the locomotive, a Bulleid Pacific
of the Nerchant Navy Class No 35006 named
Peninsular & Oriental S.N. Co.
A really enjoyable day!!
Rather interestingly, we were originally booked to go to
the Royal Naval Association Club at Leamington Spa on this
day, but due to it's unfortunate closure we had the day free.
A shame it had to close! Jean and I were always made very
welcome there.
On the the evening of February 10th 2018 Jean and I
were welcomed back to The Silvester Horne Institute,
Church Stretton, Shropshire, a very attractive venue!
The dance was well attended by a really friendly
crowd.
The above picture was taken during the evening,
where I am playing for the dancers.
Monday 15th January 2018 saw us at Bedworth Liberal Club
for the " Solo Club Dance ".
I always enjoy playing at this venue and the members really
love to dance.
The above picture was taken on that evening.
On the evening of Monday 18th December 2017,
Shelfield Male Voice Choir gave a Carol Concert
at Shelfield Methodist Church, Lichfield Road.
The evening was well attended by a very appreciative
congregation.
The choir, along with their conductor and accompanist,
were in fine form.
I was invited to play the organ and Jean and I thoroughly
enjoyed the evening.
The above picture was taken at the end of the evening
and is reproduced and published here by kind permission
of "Codsall Photographic".
Shelfield Male Voice Choir is a supporter of charities and
to date, has raised many thousands of pounds.
The Choir meets at 7-30pm every Monday evening at
Shelfeild Methodist Church, Lichfield Road, WS4 1PU.
New members are always welcome, so just come along!
Jean and I were invited back to Tipton for a Christmas Lunch
and Dance Party on Friday 15th December.
We had a fabulous Christmas Dinner and I played music
afterwards and we really had a great time.
The above picture shows Jean posing for the camera.
Now it was my turn to pose for the camera ! ! !
